Introducing the Czechia Team for the TEAM UP! Europe Rivalry: Petra Pastorovà and Ondrej Fejfar

As the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon approaches, we are excited to introduce the next elite athletes competing in the TEAM UP! Europe rivalry project—representing Czechia: Petra Pastorovà and Ondrej Fejfar. Both athletes bring a wealth of experience, determination, and talent to the marathon course, making them a duo to watch as they prepare to take on the competition.

Petra Pastorovà: Endurance Queen and Record-Breaker

Petra Pastorovà is one of the most accomplished marathon runners in Czechia. With six national marathon titles and two half-marathon championships, her career speaks volumes about her strength and consistency. But Petra’s true dominance shines in ultrarunning, where she has set records and achieved remarkable feats.

Her most cherished achievement is setting the world record in the W45 age category for running 100km in an incredible time of 7:17. She also competed in the 24-hour World Championship, covering an astonishing 240 km, earning her 9th place overall and helping secure 3rd place for the Czech women’s team. In addition to these achievements, Petra’s 7th place finish at the famous Comrades Marathon in South Africa—one of the most challenging ultra-marathons in the world—solidifies her place among the top endurance runners globally.

Petra’s marathon prowess, combined with her impressive ultra-running accomplishments, makes her an exciting competitor in the upcoming Warsaw Marathon. As part of the Czechia team, she’s ready to showcase her endurance and competitive spirit.

Ondrej Fejfar: Mountain Runner with Marathon Goals

Ondrej Fejfar brings a unique background to the marathon scene. A seasoned mountain runner and trail runner, Ondrej lives in the scenic Karkonosze Mountains, where he trains and thrives in rugged, challenging terrain. His love for the mountains has taken him all over the world, participating in various international mountain and trail races.

However, Ondrej has also embraced road marathons in recent years. Two years ago, he took on his first road marathon and hasn’t looked back since. After completing three marathons in Prague, the 46th Warsaw Marathon will be his first road marathon abroad, and he’s eager to put his best foot forward on the flat, fast streets of Warsaw. With his background in mountain running, where he’s often tested by altitude and elevation, Ondrej is excited to see what he can achieve in a pure road race and give it his all in this prestigious event.

Together, Petra Pastorovà and Ondrej Fejfar represent Czechia in the TEAM UP! Europe rivalry, combining Petra’s experience in long-distance road and ultra-running with Ondrej’s strength from the mountains.
