Introducing Team Poland II for the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon!
We’re excited to introduce the elite athletes who will be representing Team Poland II in this year’s TEAM UP! Europe rivalry project. Let’s meet them:
Izabela Paszkiewicz is a seasoned long-distance runner, she has been competing on the international stage for years. She first gained recognition in 2007 when she finished eighth in the 5000-meter race at the European Junior Championships in Hengelo. That same year, she also competed in the World Cross Country Championships. Her career is filled with national accolades, as she has won four gold, eight silver, and five bronze medals at the Polish Senior Championships. She has also showcased her talent at the European Cross Country Championships in both 2007 and 2008. Izabela’s consistency and determination have made her one of Poland’s top long-distance runners, and her experience will surely be an asset to the team.
Mateusz Kaczor is one of Poland’s fastest marathon runners, he has firmly established his name in the country’s marathon history. In 2023, he clocked an impressive 2:09:35 at the Seville Marathon, making him the third-fastest marathon runner in Polish history. He trails only legendary runners Henryk Szost and Grzegorz Gajdus. His outstanding performance puts him just 12 seconds away from moving up to second place, making him one of the most exciting athletes to watch at this year’s Warsaw Marathon.
Poland II Team – Ready for the Challenge!
With these two incredible athletes, Team Poland II is ready to take on the competition at the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon. Both runners are at the peak of their careers and bring a wealth of experience, skill, and passion to the marathon.
