TEAM UP! Europe – professional team contest
  1. TEAM UP! Europe is a team competition (hereinafter referred to as the “competition”) held as part of the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon on September 29, 2024.

  2. Teams invited by the organizer of the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon are eligible to participate. The selection of teams is at the sole discretion of the organizer.
  3. Each team must consist of a minimum of two and a maximum of four athletes, with both genders represented. ALL team members must have citizenship of the same European country (as per European Athletics membership).
  4. One country can be represented by more than one team.
  5. Participation of athletes who have undergone gender reassignment is governed by World Athletics regulations.
  6. Athletes representing Russia are excluded from the competition. Athletes from Belarus can only participate if they are political refugees and declare disagreement with their country’s policies. The final decision on the participation of Belarusian athletes is at the discretion of the organizer.
  7. The team’s final result will be the sum of the times achieved in the 45th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon by the best male and best female athlete representing the team.
  8. If at least one male and one female athlete do not finish the race, the team will not be classified.
  9. Prize Distribution: 1st place – 10,000 EURO
    2nd place – 7,500 EURO
    3rd place – 5,000 EURO
    4th place – 4,000 EURO
    5th place – 3,000 EURO
    6th place – 2,000 EURO
  10. If a team classified in the top six achieves a finish time better than 4:37:30, the prize for that team will be doubled.
  11. Teams classified in 7th-10th places will receive 2,000 EURO if they record a time better than 2:19:00 at the halfway point of the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon.
  12. The amounts in points 9-11 are before taxes.
  13. The division of prizes within the team is at the discretion of the team’s manager.
  14. Apart from the prizes mentioned in points 9-11, neither athletes nor teams will receive any additional material or financial benefits (in particular there will be no cancellation of the entry fee).
  15. The exclusive right to interpret these regulations belongs to the organizer of the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon
TEAM UP! Everyone – amateur teams
  1. TEAM UP! Everyone is a team competition (hereafter referred to as “competition”), part of the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon on September 29, 2024.
  2. Teams consisting of runners with the bib numbers of the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden of the Warsaw Marathon may be entered for the competition. Each team is represented by a team captain (manager), who registers the team and is solely responsible for its overall operation.
  3. Each team must consist of a minimum of three and a maximum of four runners.
  4. Participation of athletes who have undergone a gender reassignment process is in accordance with World Athletics regulations.
  5. Runners representing Russia are excluded from the competition. Citizens of Belarus can be entered to compete only if they are political refugees and if they submit a declaration of disagreement with their country’s policy. In the event of submitting a competitor from Belarus, the final decision as to their participation is at the sole discretion of the organizer.
  6. The team application must be submitted electronically by September 22, 2024.
  7. After submitting the list of runners, the team captain may make up to two changes in the line-up by September 10, 2024, subject to the rules set out in points 3, 4 and 5. Regardless of the fulfillment of these conditions, each change requires final approval by the organizer.
  8. The final result of the team will be calculated on the basis of the World Athletics point conversion https://caltaf.com/pointscalc/calc.html and will be the sum of: a) the best male score and b) the best female score and c) the better of the other 2 scores obtained by team members in the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon.
  9. If two (or more) teams have the same score, the final order will be determined by the score of the fourth member of the team. If this factor does not determine the order, the teams will be classified in the same place.
  10. For a team to be classified, a minimum of two members must complete the race.
  11. The highest ranked team in TEAM UP! Everyone (consisting only of people holding passports of European Athletics member countries) will be classified additionally in the TEAM UP! Europe contest, in a place in accordance with the rules set out in the regulations of this competition and will receive a prize corresponding to the place taken.
  12. Interpretation of these regulations is at the sole discretion of the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon organizer.
